I note the article still couldn't resist the usual SH snide comment about the English

Rugby isn't perfect but it's enjoyable. Doesn't need a raft of changes. Hopefully they haven't cut the rules by 50% to suit certain agendas.

Herbie +1. Not another trip to that bastion of rugby, California for a meeting to further discus! More G&T's anyone? This constant tinkering is confusin and frustrating. Agree with Tedge post - but they also had a pop at the French.

I thought the standard of debate below the article to be quite similar to what we get on here.

Its right, the rule book needs cleaning up but that won't make any difference to the scrums.

We will see extra enforcement/ odd decisions for a couple of weeks and then back to normal before the internationals play again. Same every year.

The game would certainly be easier to understand if the referees implemented some basic laws, scrum square and stable, no feeding, how is anyone supposed to understand those laws by observation?

Stopsy, you must be mad. Why would they enforce basic rules? We might see some actual rugby break out.
