10 Mr Myler
12 Mr Francis
13 Mr Horne

Good news.

I'd prefer
10. Francis
12. Stephenson
13. Horne

With regards starting the internationals... get them in the team. They can rest in the Ospreys games as Europe is far less of a priority than our league position.

With injuries back I'd like to see
4. Day
5. Ribbans
6. Lawes
7. Harrison
8. Eadie

Keep Mallinder at fullback & push Tuala over to 14. Foden to start at 11 for defensive reasons, with Collins coming on to run at tired legs of their BIG backs.

Groom or Reinach to start i can't pick much between the two recently, though earlier in the season I'd of said Groom was in better form.

I've left the front row selection as it seems pretty irrelevant who's there, we've forgotten how to scrum and Maul.

Going to be a physical game Newcastle are a tough old team, some of their backline make our forwards look small. It's going to be a massive battle on the gainline.

Normally these press releases end up with the players not appearing in the next game. Furthermore we cannot afford the luxury of resting or benching the returning Internationals. In case anybody had not noticed, Saints are in a serious slump at the moment. George North on the other hand is primarily needed for Exeter and Quins over the festive period.

Most of the match. Also tweaked his right knee , but seemed to run it off

If we've pretty much given up on Europe then maybe that is the time to rest the internationals, main focus needs to be the league and stopping the slip further down

These so called injury updates are not reliable. Sometimes I think they're just meant for the ears of the opposition.

Whoever gets the nod, it will be a rather informative selection, given Jim's comment in the Chron. regarding the match being a must-win game.

Who does he actually see as our match winners?

There are a number of interesting selections in the backs...

Pisi, Collins, Estelles, Foden om the wing
Ace / Mallinder at FB
Stephenson / Francis at 12
Myler / Francis at 10..
Rienach / Groom at 9

The only real nailed on starter is Horne.. so he'll probably start on the wing*

My "preferred" would be..

15 Ace
14 Foden
13 Horne
12 Stephenson
11 Estelles
10 Francis
9 Rienach

Totally confused in the pack - so will let others comment.. only to say Courtney, Dylan, Ribbans and Mitch to start if fit.

I’ll take your backs selection and add some forwards

We really need a proper 8 at 8, T is our best 7 by miles. Then 6 has to be Lawes which means we can have Ribbons and Patterson in at lock.
Dylan at 2 and any of our props as the are all equally bad it seems. Maybe the new guys???

8 Eadie
7 T
6 Lawes
5 Ribbons
4 Patterson
3 JR
2 Dylan
1 Van W

I find it odd we chose to sign international players as our second choice ones. Would have made much more sense to have them here all the time.

Awwww thanks, forgot he would be away with them, as we hardly see him!

Surely now he had a run injury free and proper preseason, he can take up some of the LH job?
