Llanelli must be the best coached side in Europe given resources. Id throw so much money at Wayne Pivac. The difference between the Wales national side and Scarlets is night and day.

Modern progressive attacking rugby in the winter. Everyone at the club should watch the tape of that first half to understand the standard we need to get to. And on paper we dont have a dissimilar quality of squad IMHO.

nice one Eif, regardless of the result.

Really enjoying this display by Scarlets....just goes to show that direct running rugby does work and that you don't have to endlessly go from side to side. We are down at the Rec soon, hope Gaffers is watching !

Wouldnt it be great knowing you would turn up to FG and see that flare and play. Win or lose. As mentioned is probably down to the dor with all the players buying in to it?

Damn, for a minute I thought this thread was about a behemoth Georgian prop we'd signed.

But we'll played Scarlets. Lovely stuff.

Have been saying this for a long time. Learn from the best. Wales need Pivac as next coach. Sorry, country before club.

Very impressive game execution by the Scarlets. Offloading was just sublime, clever at the breakdown, rock solid defence and all played at pace. Wonderful to watch.

Fantastic game and performance by Scarlets. Players just knew where to be and who was supporting. Very very few penalties conceded

Team bustling with confidence

This wasn't just good, it counts as stunning European performance. And the scrum!

Chapeau Eif

A good example of an average player becoming a top coach. Would be an excellent catch for Saints but recently signed a new contract at Scarlets until 2019/20 and is being tipped to replace Gatland with wales

All the talk is he is replacing Gatland sooner rather than later.... so Id assume international over club rugby would be a bigger pull no matter what monies you talking, As doubt thered be that much in it.

Now, now fellas, no mention of Stephen Jones, he was an excellent coach when he was actually playing let alone what he's doing now, if Pivac goes to Wales after the RWC then so will Stephen.

Just watched a recording of the game, otherwise engaged last night, simply wrong topic heading, it should be 'Sosban Fawr' (which starts the 2nd line of their song), i.e. big rather than small.

What the Scarlets do that other teams can't replicate is their support of runners, if there's a break then there's always someone in support. The Hadley Parkes try sums them up, Gareth Davies goes for the break but you can see Parkes is on his way long before the break is established and sure enough is there to take the scoring pass. And they did this to Bath with 4 of their first choice backs missing.

No way Austin was going to chose a Welsh MOM, but Patchell has been a revelation as emergency cover for their 2 injured full backs, he was by far my MOM. Its been a golden period for West Wales when you consider that North, Williams, Liam and Owen, and Priestland have recently been part of the Scarlets set up.

I didn't see the game but my fellow traveller to the Gardens on Saturday did. He was full of admiration for how Scarlets played. That they scored two tries when down to 14 as well.
