Saracens back row Schalk Burger has been cited for dangerous play at a ruck during Saturday's Champions Cup victory over Northampton.

Burger is alleged to have dangerously entered a ruck, making contact with flanker David Ribbans, in the 48th minute of the 62-14 triumph at Allianz Park.

The hearing was supposed to have been held last night but not seen any reports??

Doubt it- I find citing officers to be a bit Wimpy with these things...

They seem to enjoy handing out big bans these days. They hand them out with relish

In all seriousness I saw it at the time and thought Davey Ribbans did very well not to react properly. Not as blindingly obvious as Kieran Brookes a while back but just as dangerous IMHO.

You will be lucky to see a game when this sort of challenge does not happen and inevitably will not be subject to sanction by the referee. Good teams play on the margins and get away with it all the time. Poor sides are more blatent and get pinged....move on.
