When you add in Roy Maybank and Sean Davey you can be sure there will be lots of interventions from one official or another. It's a while since we had Barnes but he appears to be as school masterish as ever fellahs !

maybe he'll get snowed in and we'll have to find a replacement.

And a recent-rival-former player on the lines too. Full house!

Yeah V newcastle he seemed to spend the entire game performing an R rated act on Andy Goode rather than reffing the game

When did we last win with Wayne reffing?

perhaps his love in with Andy Goode was all down to the Leicester connection.

Jamie Gibson as captain for saturday perhaps?

Bath away last year. Few important decisions went against us including a missed forward pass in the build up to one of their tries.

Goodie played him like a Violin. Maybank likes to get very involved. Davey imho is a poor TMO. Other than that its all fine !

Funnily enough he had a good game reffing Wales Ireland as long as you're Irish. Quite a bit of banter flying around. But wonky line outs ignored and he clearly doesn't care the tackle law has been changed. But we have been short changed too often over the years. When he retires we should present him with a glass eye

Still the best ref in the premiership by a distance.

Given that numerous threads recently have discussed the need for the top two inches to be exploited by our teams, perhaps we should start playing "with" him, rather than "against" him like we always seem to manage?

Perhaps we can get him in for a training session to see what it is he actually wants

I thought Barnes was very poor in the France/Italy game other night. Once again he refereed what he thought had happened (the penalty try) not what he could see and his positioning was apalling all game.

3 Tigers players could have seen double yellow in our semi final and he didn't want to award Alex Waller's try in the final.... JP Doyle is not great!

Well at least it's not a Cup Final! We're not going to make Europe and we won't get relegated so given we have to have him at some point it's as good a game as any.

If we make it to the Anglo-Welsh Cup final and he is the ref I would be more worried!

Great technical knowledge of the most obscure laws but no empathy for the players - and needs to pronounce can't properly!!!!

Not a referee we do well with! I've just seen in the Gospel email that of the 25 times he's reffed us, we've lost 18 times.
