Saints at Milton Keynes?

Donít panic, as far as I know there are no plans to move down the road!

This is a practical question.

When you have played at MK in the past, what was the car parking situation like?

Iíve never had any trouble parking a short way from the ground on an adjacent industrial estate, but I was reasonably early. Suspect it would be difficult if you were nearer to kick off

I believe that the master plan file for the move to MK left in Allan Robsons briefcase.....

Was it ever really a 'goer'? I happen to like the stadium but MK isn't really a rugby town (it's not much of a soccer town either to be fair).

Parking has never been a problem but like walks11 we've made sure we were there in plenty of time. Getting away afterwards has been slow immediately after the match, but there are restaurants etc. around the stadium so perhaps best to grab something to eat at one of those before returning to the car.

Getting to the stadium an hour before kick off is almost a must for parking.

MK might have been good for Saints in the long run but it was a poor attempt by the club to drum up support. They needed to put another 50% effort/resources into it.

We parked in one of the car parks immediately surrounding the stadium and it took an age to get away, far longer than at the Gardens.

I remember my dad eventually decided to go 'cross-country' over one of the grass verges to get out of the car park! Probably the most off-roading his Land Rover has done in a while...

Sorry all, I should perhaps have made myself clearer. The firm I work for are looking at staging an event at the Arena and Iím trying to get my head around potential problems IF there was a football match scheduled for the same day as the event. Practicalities and costs (of car parking) if you will. MK Dons crowds are nowhere near the size of the gates youíd have had when youíve used MK in the past but in a perfect storm situation, a game would utilise all the on-site parking. Iím trying to get a feel of how much of a problem that would be for visitors to an even next door to the stadium.
Thanks for the feedback thus far BTW.

Your patrons probably would be able to get parked .. however, in the event that the stadium car park is full then the next best option is the Industrial Estate opposite the stadium. Would not recommend parking near Asda or the other stores as there is probably a 2-3 hour parking limit and I wouldn't want them to unwittingly get a parking ticket.
