I suspect Sarries may well have a few names missing this weekend. As a team they will certainly not be fazed by a trip to the Gardens and have faith in their squad unlike Saintsho are still stuck in an 'any win will do mind set' judging by comments from earlier this week. So we can expect out of form players playing out of position whilst the young lions remain caged - sincerely hope I am wrong !

good write up HRSaints.

personally, I'd be (cliche alert) happy with an 80 minute performance and a LBP.

Sarries are clear favourites and for that reason, £5.00 on Saints might be worth a look. You never know!

Good read, HRsaints fan

Good write up.

This has indeed been an "annus horibbilis" but with 4 games to go some positivity is possible..

Any kind win against Saracens would be most welcome. Doing so with the "retained" players and with Tom Collins scoring a hat-trick would be even better..

Who will start though..

15 - Mallinder (after what must have been a really tough year for the lad, how great to see him there to whip the fez-heads)

14 - Collins (come on!!!)

13 - Horne (I think this guy has been genuine class all year)

12 - Francis (fleet of foot and quick of mind...setting up sellection headaches for next year!)

11 - Pisi (rediscovers his form and starts to "run riot")

10 - Grayson (Slots 10/11 as collins and pisi score a hat full)

9 - Cobus (I always thought Cobus was the better one, so now he needs a big game)

8 - Eadie (not only the only No8 we have.. he is also due a big game)

7 - Harrison (Hes really been good this year and 7 is his natural position)

6 - Gibson (Solid, dependable determined)

5 - Ribbans (the future and it looks bright)

4 - Api (a huge lump and needs to really build his presence)

3 - JFR (I don't know... Ma'afu?, Hill? no idea, been a problem all year)

2 - Mikey (difficult but he is a nuggett and the future)

1 - Waller (back from his enforced rest he rocks up and devestates the oppo scrum)

Thanks HRSaint. I really enjoyed your preview.

It's years like this that make the good times sweet.

I remember posting when we qualified for the Champions Cup that it might be detrimental and would we have been better off in the Challenge. So Id completely agree it feels like being in the Champions Cup has made a hard season harder.

Selection should be interesting

Sorry to think or say this but we're gonna get a thumping. Hopefully Irish will lose too.

Waller has never demolished anything, not a ruck, tackle or scrum. Great club player but miles off a top loose head.

I wonder how much of that is down to him being forced to play all the time and not getting enough time in the gym.

Thanks for the excellent preview. It does not seem so long ago that we would be expecting to win this match, now out best hope is to keep the scoreline respectable. A sign of how far the club has fallen. Hopefully we are now at rock bottom and we will start to build next season.

Once a scrum half .... always a scrum half
