History indeed and, to quote Max Boyce "I know, coz I was there" - well, for the second half at least.

I watched a local team win a game of rugby this afternoon (I'm sorry, SS supporters, if you can't remember what "winning" means) when Manchester Football Club (founded 1860, the miserable cheating barstewards!) ended their run of 82(?) consecutive league defeats by beating Old Northamptonians by 25 points to 17.

Good running rugby from both teams, entertaining, enterprising and effective with no stodgy game plan adhered to regardless of the prevailing conditions and playing performance of the opposition. Maybe SS should be asking if they can borrow MFC's coach for a while!

But I shall let H's D post the report as I don't want to steal his thunder!
