Currently we are still in the EU: one shouldn't assume it will the same simple process wrt visas post-brexit. The article suggests it certainly won't be, as quid pro quo will apply. If the UK requires a fee and a palaver involving vetting of applicants to get one for the the UK then it seems likely the each individual country within the EU will reciprocate....that is what the article suggests....
