Well said Straightout. Like you, my only passion is for Cov and their success and drive from it. These are special times that we should share and cherish. It will be a special bond for us all. To share in something that is just around the corner will be very special for us all. I have been up to Wasps for three or four games and have yet to be captivated by it all. Excitement for me, it is not.
My son is part of their community departments excellent work with SEN children and is to be applauded, and this is how I have been lucky enough to have taken him to games. But, as my son once said, “It’s okay Dad, but it’s not Cov is it?” That for me encapsulated all that I wanted it to be . A legacy approach.
My glass is always half-full. It needs to be a‘ hearts and minds’ approach, perhaps typified by the voice in Fields of Dreams, “ build it and he will come”. Only by building on our current success will we get a rise in attendances, but we can all play our part, little by little. Wear your Cov colours around the city, your shirts, your badges and such. As a parting comment, it is growing. On CRSC coaches this season we do have families, young families , travelling with us. Long may that continue to grow. But, as I have said before, we should cherish this moment , be part of it and embrace it. That 2000 hardcore support will grow, but we will have shared this special moment in our lives together.
