Whilst accepting that he would have to fit the culture, the talent / flair that he could bring would be fantastic IMO. From a financial perspective it has been said that certain players are cash positive overall. I suspect he may be one of them. Regardless with the advent of a player being deemed outside of the salary cap, assuming that being NeV, that provides some more room within the cap.
I am coming to the believe that Rory will not grow into the shoes and therefore we will need to find someone that has the qualities. I think Cipriani has the quality but the temperament is the issue.
Agree with pretty much all of the above, but would much prefer to see a Johnny Wilkinson type of youngster than a Cips to replace Rory. Looks to me like Faz and Ford have the right attitude as well as talent - don't get many of them around though.
I'm not sure that star players are necessarily cash positive either - Sarries went down that route for many years without conspicuous success on the field, or in terms of attracting crowds. I also like the way Quins support seems to be growing season on season because of the proper club atmosphere, and not because of perceived stars. A bit like Northampton,but a year or two behind.
