The good news is that Saints and Quins have a tough run in, so it's hard to see them both overhauling us however badly our games go. Si Heineken Cup looks odd on.
But for the playoffs it's going to be a close run thing.
It will be a huge ask for us to stay ahead of Tigers.
The top 3 spots are going to be extremely tight, Exeter only 5 points behind at the moment and Wasps have to still play a fully fit Sarries. Can see them taking the first spot by the end of the competition.
Yup, win all the last 4 games is all we need. Time for the internationals to step up and earn their corn. Bung in 3 Challenge Cup games and some silverware for good measure.

Other teams have enjoyed amazing run ins to get into the top 4 & even gone on to win the title. The latter eventuality is highly unlikely but not the former. The other teams winning all/most of their games in the run in were Wasps, Quins & Leicester - I can't recall the years however.
I predict the maximum points total we will get is 58 and mean we will be 5th at best. Our form, and that plus fitness of the returning 'stars', has to be really good and way above recent results, to win two of our games to achieve that result. To stop Leicester overtaking us we have to beat them and Sale away (which I cannot see at present), plus pick up bonus points in each of our games, and hope Leicester don't get any in theirs. The Bristol result is really going to damage our final position!
Wasps will end up with 87
Exeter 80 (easiest run in on paper!)
Saracens 78 (reliant on Wasps beating them last game of season)
Leicester 67 (including beating us at the Clash)
Saints 52 (assuming beating Tigers at home)

I know we've been very disappointing for quite a while but we've had 3 weeks to re-group & more players back & getting fitter so we are right to expect an uplift in form, if the coaches can't bring that about they won't have done much of a job. Your gloomy assumption is that nothing will change, I just hope you're wrong
I don't particularly care if we finish 4th or 5th, both would be a good result considering what we have been up against this year and it would be a credit to the entire squad.
