Up To Third

Eight games and third place - we'd have settled for  that back in early September.

After a few seasons treading water it's great to be setting off for Goldington Road with a keen anticipation of being richly entertained.

The latest 30-12 win over Nottingham emphasised how far we have come with a super hat-trick from Chris Czekaj, and only a couple of late tries from the visitors to take the gloss off things.

We are averaging more than 30 points a game and it bodes well for the rest of the season.

Admittedly Brizz are storming away with it having won all of their games and we are 13 points behind them, but that won't take any enjoyment away from Blues supporters.

We're enjoying the ride and well done to coaches and players. Keep it up.

So do you get more cash from the RFU the higher you finish in the league? Anyway one thing we are is the best semi-pro team in England.

You do, although I do not think it is not massive sums between places, but every little helps.

With Nottingham to face Ealing and then Bristol and Knights to face them both after us.

A couple of wins could let up create a gap to 4th.

Alternatively if one of Knights or Nottingham could beat Ealing then we could be close to 2nd at the half way point. Probably more unlikely though.

So I finally snapped and sent a caustic email to the beeb. about their sloppy work.

Guess how thrilled I was by their reply (David Larner) saying he's sorry they failed to award BRISTOL the missing point.................
I leave you to imagine the reply I just sent.......
