Missed Opportunity

Jordan Burns

Another entertaining game at Goldington Road but a missed opportunity to stay in third place as our old high scoring foes Jersey Reds sneaked the 29-33 win ..

We did earn two bonus points thanks to two tries from Dean Adamson and one each for Elliot Clements-Hill and Jordan Burns.

Unfortunately, the visitors scored five of their own and if we'd taken our chances we would easily have gone into double figures and won the game.

It was frenetic and hard fought - specially at the breakdwon - and entertaining. We bombarded the Reds line in the closing stages looking for the win but spurned chances to get the ball out wide and were made to pay for it with a turnover.

Next up it's a trip to bottom club Titans where a little more calmness should bring the points back.
