Surprised with a few selections but hopefully we do the job and get a win to start.

Calls into mind, do we need to be playing the likes of Saracens when we always come away from the game with so many injuries. Again we start the season with a list of problems.

Would tend to agree, I think that most starts to the Blues seasons come with a list of injuries mostly but not exclusively from the ‘big club’ friendlies......

I start this season with nearly the same wish as last year ......that we avoid relegation AND beat Jersey*......

I wish all the Bedford fans and players traveling to Nottingham a safe journey and hope the new team produce the goods, I watched them play Bishop Stortford a week ago and was pleased by the performance........,.

• It was Beat Jersey and Rotherham but the latter were relegated last year

The Saracens game is a vital revenue stream, we do not tend to lose as many as we did this time.

Still we have a decent squad and good relationships to draft in quality replacements at short notice.

Good start with a win today, although a bonus point would've been great.

Good win although made hard work of it, still nice to win away when you don't play that well, even when we went down to thirteen we never looked like losing. Impressed with James Lennon and Joe Green on their debuts both looked especially Lennon. Looks like Nottingham will be in for a long season. Good win well done guys. As for the Nottingham fan who kept going on about the difference between Bedford and Nottingham, well today mate, it was 7 points COYB !!
