Street look for a steady streak
By Coventry Telegraph
October 30 2009
BROADSTREET have proved their resilience several times this season and they will need that quality in spades tomorrow when they entertain Loughborough Students at the Ivor Preece Field. While Street were surren-dering their 100-per-cent away record in a 32-20 reverse at Harrogate, the Students were cruising to a 34-3 verdict against Kendal that keeps them just three points behind
pace-setting Macclesfield.

“It will be a good test for us,” said coach Lee Crofts. “They beat us home and away the year they won the league so it will be interesting to see how we measure up this time.”

Crofts – who is hoping that No.10 and kicking specialist Dan Richards will have shaken off an injury – was bitterly disappointed at last week’s showing. “They’re probably the worst side we’ve played but we just didn’t perform,” he said. We’ve got to be more consistent, but I’m sure we can bounce back – we’ve done it before!”
