Lions dare not take it easy...
By Coventry Telegraph
October 30 2009
RUGBY Lions go to rock-bottom Bradford & Bingley looking for a win to maintain their momentum as they head into a batch of fixtures against high-riding opposition. But they will be warned against the perils of compla-cency, joint-coach Pete Glack-in insisting:

“We are expect-ing a tough game against a side who will be scrapping for every point they can get. I know we look favourites from the outside, but there are no certainties at this level and we need to be fully focused.”

Lions, however, will take the opportunity to give Matt Price a rest, Ben Spokes stepping up from the bench to replace him at hooker. “Matt is a tough boy who always puts his body on the line for the side,” explained Glackin, “but he’s taken a few bumps and bruises in the past couple of weeks so he could do with a breather.”

No.8 Nick Walton also stands down with Lloyd Saunders, who replaced him against Huddersfield, getting the nod to start.
