Be great to see some of the other players under a Cov badge.
Hopefully next season with the new pitch ( and possibly a lighting upgrade) the development side wil get more games to impress in....

Agreed. More Dev, more u18s, more of everything. That's what will make the club's investment invaluable.

How is the pitch? It took a real battering with 2 games within 24 hours. Is it likely the game could be switches to Broadstreet? Eric and his team can work miracles, but there was barely a blade of grass lest after the Pirates game

Do we have to assume that the Zoo Shield is no more and has ceased to be, as John Cleese said in the parrot sketch?

Still going AFAIK Cliff. Didn't really work for Cov though.

The Zoo shield still exists, and teams participating in division one have played from 10-14 matches so far this season.

Coventry withdrew from it after one season due to mismatches, missed matches, and a feeling that it was not providing the development of players they wanted. Instead the development players are mainly loaned out around the midlands.

Last season Coventryís seconds played (or were awarded league resultss for) 23 matches in it. Looking at the results, only 11 of these matches were played, the remainder being recorded as walkovers, fairly evenly split between games awarded for and against Coventry.
