Championship round 20 - Chiefs v Moseley

Chiefs v Mose this weekend should be a cracking game with Mose needing to secure points to cement their 'promotion' play-off place and the Chiefs building momentum to take into the play-offs.
Match Preview

Exeter Chiefs v Moseley

We're now at the pen-ulimate match in the 1st part of the both sides season with Mose coming to Sandy Park.  The Chiefs have assured their play-off place and likely final place in the league.  However Mose still have a lot to play for.

They currently lie in 8th place and may whave done enough to claim a promotion play-off place but Albion or Roth could still consign them to a relegation play-off place.  Mose will have a tough job to gain points with only this game and Bristol to conclude their Championship 'league' campaign.

BUT as we know only too well you can never take anything for granted against Mose.  Any point gained by them will be invaluable and I imagine they won't be looking for an expansive, free scoring game.  I expect them to want to keep it in their forwards and grind out a tight game.   This will be an interesting challenge for the Chiefs, which I'm sure they will relish.

BUT I expect Rob & Co. to start letting 'The Rabbit Out of The Bag' as the Chiefs build momentum into the play-off phase of the Championship and I fully expect a resounding victory for the Chiefs.

Looks like its all change at the bottom. Donny move up out of the relegation play off zone into 7th with Moseley dropping to eighth and Albion down into the relegation zone into 9th.

Bees 7-33 Donny

So if we make sure Mose go away with no points any sort of win will put Albion back in 8th place.

A belated thanks Moorsan for this good preview. I note that (at last) Paul Mckenzie is on the bench and this coming a week after the Rugby Times article entitled "McKenzie's prepared to bide his time" (Sm55) do any self-styled club insiders want to enighten the tribe?

I hope that Paul get's a chance to stretch his legs today.
