This Sunday brings a welcome return to Premiership action for Exeter Chiefs when they visit the Ricoh and take on Wasps in what promises to be an exciting opener to the season.  Last season saw some great action in this fixture with Chiefs having the bragging rights from the Prem and Wasps in the Champions Cup.  Whilst Chiefs have added a handful of new signings Wasps have been splashing the cash to bring in the likes of Danny Cipriani and Kurtley Beal to replace the Pietu brothers and George Smith etc.

Roib Baxter has had a short but intense preseaon to get the Chiefs up to speed and is sounding confident the guys are ready for action.  Preseason wins over Scarlets, Ulster and Dragons showed some great rugby but also areas to work on before Sunday.  However I expect the guys will be really up for this one and hope they can open the season with a win.

Great weekend of rugby in prospect! Not going to the Ricoh this time but will be glued to the box all weekend, particularly on Sunday!
Eagerly awaiting 12 O Clock today (Friday) to see the team sheet!

Just hope we get better ref desicions this season and not have another Tigers away or missed knock ons as at Ricoh in Euro cup. At least we can hear the ref this season, then again we could hear at Tigers and he still got it terribly wrong but you knew it instantly.

Have a feeling it's going to be tight this season, and the man in the middle will be under more pressure than ever by those who know how to "play the game" so to speak. With the new law changes I can see some teams being quite apt at making it appear you are infringing when you aren't.

Really looking forward to this season. I too think it's going to be even tighter. Expectations are going to be high and I hope the dissapoinrment of losing in the Final works in our favour.
Rob and tha coaches have a great looking squad to work with and no doubt there will be plenty of rotation.
There will no doubt be decisions given in our favour and some against but I'm hopeful the new laws and the officiating allow for a flowing game.
Gonna be another cracking season following the Chiefs.....can't wait.
