Best season start?

12 Warriors 7 0 0 7 98 219 13 27 -14 3

However in terms of points in the bag it's not the best start to a Premiership season they have had.  This came two seasons ago in season 15/16 when they had gained 29 points by this time of the season.

Season Performance Points
10/11 WLWLLLL 10
11/12 LWLWLLL 11
12/13 WLLWLWL 17
13/14 LWWLWWW 23
14/15 WLWWLWW 24
15/16 LWWWWWW 29
16/17 LLWWLDL 16
17/18 LWWWLWW 26

The big difference as I see it is in the confidence and belief now being shown by the club and players.  This being epitomised by the wins in Europe and never say die attitude shown at Sale together with two 5 point wins in the Anglo-Welsh.  The latter really demonstrates the strength in depth Chiefs have with Sam Hill, Ollie Devoto, Greg Holmes and Dave Ewers making appearances following injuries.

That's the first block of matches concluded and I'm looking forward to the start of the second block on Sunday when Quins visit Sandy Park.

Come On You Chiefs...Chiefs...Chiefs

It is certainly up there but the next three games will test our strength in depth with key players missing during the Autumn internationals. Quins, Sarries and Bath will be missing players as well so that will level the playing field but if we can keep our winning streak going we could be top going into the European games!

If you factor in our great start in Europe and AW Cup, I guess it probably is the best start. Pretty darned impressive, whatever.

The biggest thing though is that a couple of seasons ago there was always a bad patch over xmass but it doesn't feel like that anymore

Yes it is our best start without a shadow of doubt.
In previous years we probably went under the radar a little bit and there was no expectancy and maybe not as much respect from the opposition?
This season we are defending champions and there is expectancy from everyone as well as the pressure that comes with it. We have a lot of respect from the opposition and I did wonder if the hunger to defend a title would be as much as it was to win it last season?
It is stronger if anything so undoubtedly our best start for me given the reasons stated above.

Today we are: 2nd in our European pool; top of the prem; top of our AW pool; and top of the A league. If not our best start to the season, it must be right up there!
