New seasons starts at home to Bath

Just in case anybody needed a nudge to remind them that the 2009-10 season starts in just over two months, the fixtures have thrown Gloucester and old rivals Bath together on the first weekend of the new campaign. The first fixture between the West Country’s “old enemies” will be played at Kingsholm on the first weekend of September, and it doesn’t get any less exciting as the season progresses.
On the second weekend, Glaws travel to play Ryan Lamb’s new club, London Irish, while Northampton saints at home and Saracens away bring the first hectic month of the season to an end.
All the dates for the games have yet to be finalised as Sky decide which matches they will televise, and cup dates also have yet to be added.
Glaws are at home to champions Leicester Tigers on the third weekend of November, while the Christmas game is away to Bath and the New Years match at home to Worcester Warriors.
