Newcastle Falcons are trying to set some kind of crowd noise record for the visit of Glaws on Friday night. One cannot help wondering if it is designed to keep minds of things happening on the pitch ....
Dean Richards' second bottom side will face a team with three changes from the hard fought - and ultimately disappointing - clash with Quins last week.
Steve McColl will make his first start at full back - coming in for Rob Cook who dislocated his shoulder against Quins. Billy Twelvetrees has been called up by England so Billy Burns comes in while Yann Thomas replaces a poorly Nick Wood.
Gloucester: Steve McColl; Charlie Sharples, Billy Meakes, Mark Atkinson, Henry Purdy; Billy Burns, Dan Robson; Yann Thomas, Darren Dawidiuk, John Afoa; Tom Palmer, James Hudson; Tom Savage, Matt Kvesic (capt), Ross Moriarty
Reps: Luke Cole, James Gibbons, Shaun Knight, Elliott Stooke, Gareth Evans, Callum Braley, Aled Thomas, Tom Isaacs
Deano is making a lot of changes to his side and will be fielding just about his strongest line-ups in the backs with Alex Tait in for Simon Hammersley, Mike Blair replacing Ruki Tipuna and Rory Clegg at fly half. Juan Pablo Socino moves to inside centre in place of Adam Powell.
Samoans Sinoti Sinoti and Alesana Tuilagi will be on the wings.
Nobody has ever officially recorded a rugby crowd for decibels before so Kinsgton Park is certain to set a record.
At regular points during the match on Friday the crowd will be asked via the PA to make as much noise as possible. As well as encouraging everyone to make the usual noise though shouting, cheering and clapping there will be 500 sets of Thunderstix donated by league sponsor Aviva.
Oh joy. mLet's hope the levels are dampened by Glaws keeping the scoreboard ticking.
