Knock Out Blows

It looks like we are now going to be missing three important players for the next two games following the bruising battle of Kingston Park ..

The club  has stated that Charlie Sharples, Dan Robson and Henry Purdy all suffered first-half concussions in the 20-10 defeat.

Providing there are no complications that means all three will have to take a mandatory 19 day rest from playing.

The big game during the period will be the trip to Irish next Sunday with the home and away European games against Zebre coming up next.

The problem is most acute in the backs, but fortunately the players who have been away with Tonga, Scotland and Wales will be back this week.

Was Sharples concussed ?

I was in the South Stand and to us it looked like he went off with a shoulder injury and was straight out of the ground and into an ambulance.

Yes. All three are doing light training this week but will have to have "cognitive" tests to see if they are fit to play on Sunday.
I know a lot of rugby players who wouldnt pass that test even when they haven't had a knock on the head.
Joking apart I hope the guys are very much OK.
