Top Six Target

By Cherry Picker
March 3 2017

It's been a funny old season so far but one where we end up being very grateful for the play-off systerm. Even at 9th position in the league we can realistically target a top six finish as only one bonus point win separates us from Saints who are currently sixth ..

Of course this week's visitors will have the same mindset.

Quins arrive in seventh place having achieved three more points than Glaws - so a win is vital for both sides' end  of season ambitions.

We make a handful of changes to the side which lost at Wasps last week .. all but one in the pack.

Billy Burns makes a welcome return at fly half while the front row sees Yann Thomas and John Afoa replacing Josh Hohneck and Paul Doran-Jones. Mariano Galarza starts in place of Tom Savage in the second row.

Gloucs:15. Tom Marshall; 14. Charlie Sharples, 13. Matt Scott, 12. Billy Twelvetrees, 11. David Halaifonua; 10. Billy Burns, 9. Willi Heinz (capt); 1. Yann Thomas, 2. Richard Hibbard, 3. John Afoa; 4. Mariano Galarza, 5. Jeremy Thrush; 6. Lewis Ludlow, 7. Jacob Rowan, 8. Ben Morgan

Reps: 16. Motu Matu'u, 17. Josh Hohneck, 18. Paul Doran-Jones, 19. Tom Savage, 20. Sione Kalamafoni, 21. Callum Braley, 22. James Hook, 23. Henry Trinder

Quins make a similar number of changes with a couple released from the Six Nations. Ross Chisholm starts at full-back, Tim Visser is on the wing after returning  from Scotland duty.
In the forwards, Joe Gray is named at hooker and starts alongside Kyle Sinckler, who has also returned from international duty this week.

Quins: 15. Ross Chisholm 14. Marland Yarde 13. Joe Marchant 12. Matt Hopper 11. Tim Visser 10. Tim Swiel 9. Charlie Mulchrone 1. Mark Lambert 2. Joe Gray
