Takeover Imminent?

St Andre

Will Gloucs be under new stewardship come kick off time at Ashton Gate on Friday night?

Word from France is that European Rugby is close to accepting Mohed Altrad's proposed 45% ownership as "not being a conflict of interest"with his French concerns - and that the go-ahead could be given this week.

If that does happen then it's hardly a secret that he will want his own rugby management team in and that would see the return of Phillipe St Andre.

That has been the case for a few months now, but it doesn't tally with reports from elsewhere that Johan Ackermann, the  coach of the Lions in South Africa, has been approachged to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Laurie Fisher

Uncertainty is not good for sports teams. Let's hope it all gets sorted sooner rather than later as this season has not been the best.
