Back To The Grind

Ollie Thorley

It's back down to earth this week with a trip to Wasps in the league .. let's hope it's not with a bump ..

Europe provided an entertaining respite - specially for Ollie Thorley who ran in four tries in the 69-12 defeat of a hapless Zebre side.

To be honest it was too easy to be an enjoyable exercise, but it's better scoring eleven tries than conceding them, that's for sure.

The result puts us on Pau's coattails and their visit next month looks like being the decider - providing we can get a result in Agen, of course. However, we  did beat them 61-16 at Kingsholm in October.

As for the game at the Ricoh this Saturday we should be seeing most of the 9 players who were "rested" on Saturday returning.

Both clubs are up in the pack chasing the Chiefs - we are in second place and Wasps in fifth but there's only three points in it. A win for the Cherry and Whites would be a great Christmas present ..

Won’t be there, but should be a great game, with both our sides in top form. Safe travels to all those braving the M5 two days before Xmas!
