Billy Saves The Day

Relief all round as two late pens from Billy Twelvetrees saw us end 2017 on a high ...

James Hanson is tackled by Sale's Josh Strauss during the Aviva Premiership match at KiThe 20-16 win means we go into the new year in fourth place - eight points behind leaders Exeter who also have a game in hand.

However, mathematics were not uppermost in the minds of those in The Shed as we entered the final phase of the game. Sharks had hammered us in the game at their place back in September and they made the most of a disjointed Cherry and White performance to go into a 6-0 lead.

Tries from David Halaifonua and Ben Vellacott put us in the lead but Sale kept coming back with MacGinty getting all their points courtesy of a converted try and three pens.

So it was stalemate until Billy resuced the day with two longt range pens.

Drinks all round.
