Cruel End

Defeat at home to Bath in our final home league game wasn't on the Cherry and White song sheet and we now have only the smallest of chances of getting into a play off position. Effectively, Wasps must fail to get any points from their last two games and we must get a bonus point win against Sarries ... not likely.

Fortunately, we have the European Challenge Cup Final final to  come and our exploits in that competition have secured us  a European Championship place next season.

It will be a much changed Glaws next time around with all the various comings and goings. The 20-43 defeat by our old rivals was not the way we should have said goodbye to John Afoa.

In a game we knew we had to win we were strangely out of sorts in the first half as a carefree Bath opened up with some strong running -  they'd secured their bonus point by the half hour including an excellent effort from Tom Homer.

Ed Slater did cross for us, and we were much better after the break, but only had a Jason Woodward try to excite the Shed faithful with Twelvetrees slotting the rest of the points.

We will have to be a lot sharper at Sarries and against Cardiff.
