Ben Morgan

By New Cherry
October 12 2018

Castres come visiting on Sunday for a 1.00 kick off as we begin the Heineken Champions Cup campaign . They'll face a Cherry and White sider skippered by Ben Morgan who is finally free from injury .

Tom Marshall also returns from his long lay-off while Jason Woodward and  Callum Braley step up from the bench as our attempts at fielding a settled side have been hit by further injuries and suspensions.

So we will see Tom Savage in place of Ed Slater and Freddie Clarke at flanker in place of the suspended Lewis Ludlow.

It'll be a tough ask against the French champions who have also started well this season althoiugh they lost to Stade Francaise last time out. Castres have added ex-Clermont full-back Scott Spedding and former Toulouse centre Yann David for this season.

Gloucs: 15Jason Woodward; 14. Charlie Sharples, 13. Billy Twelvetrees, 12. Mark Atkinson, 11. Tom Marshall; 10. Danny Cipriani, 9. Callum Braley; 1. Josh Hohneck, 2. Franco Marais, 3. Fraser Balmain; 4. Tom Savage, 5. Gerbrandt Grobler; 6. Freddie Clarke, 7. Jake Polledri, 8. Ben Morgan (captain)
