Getting Serious

By New Cherry
November 8 2018

Skipper Willi Heinz has finally overcome his calf injury and makes his first start of the season aginst Saints on Friday night .

He is one of no less than 12 changes from the side which lost at Bristol last week.

Nobody seems quite sure what the Premiership Cup is all about - to be honest. Is it a sop during the Autumn international season or can it go on to become a credible competition with a highy desirable trophy for the cabinet?

Time will tell but while we have a chance of a semi-final place it's worth going for so in come the big boys:

Gloucs: 125Jason Woodward; 14. Matt Banahan, 13. Henry Trinder, 12. Billy Twelvetrees, 11. Ollie Thorley; 10. Mark Atkinson, 9. Willi Heinz (captain); 1. Josh Hohneck, 2. James Hanson, 3. Fraser Balmain; 4. Tom Savage, 5. Ed Slater; 6. Gareth Evans, 7. Jaco Kriel, 8. Freddie Clarke

Reps: Henry Walker,. Val Rapava Ruskin,  Ciaran Knight,  Gerbrandt Grobler,. Ruan Ackermann,  Callum Braley,  Henry Purdy,  Tom Hudson

Tend to agree with your comments about this Cup, not too sure what it offers really, some clubs have rotated some players and some have not, it is not a very good replacement for the Anglo/Welsh cup in my opinion.
