Sarries set the bar rtoo high for a battling Gloucester side and we can have no complaints with the 44-19 semi-final defeat. What we do need to do is learn from the intensity of the best team in Europe and try to add that to our undohbted flair next season.
There was false hope when we began with the sort of try we knew we needed if we were to triumph.
Cipriani and Twelvetrees started it in midfield with Woodward and Marshall creating the opportunity for Ben Morgan to go over in the corner.
Hopes were up but not for long as Sarries cae straight back and proceeded to put 44 points on the board before our rally in the last quarter with tries from Dreyer and Ludlow.
