London Wasps victory at Rovigo in Italy on Saturday means almost certain qualification for the knock out stages of the Amlin Cup. However, Wasps plague of injuries continues to increase. Tom Varndell will sit out the rest of the season after suffering a foot injury.

The 11-32 scoreline in Rovigo flattered Wasps. With fewer than ten minutes on the clock the Italian side were just 15-11 behind.

Sam Jones and Elliot Daly scored in the first half but it was not until Ryan Davis and Richard Haughton touched down in the dying minutes that Wasps eased to a bonus point win.

The final pool match at home to Bordeaux-Bègles should be a formality on past form. Failure to win would end Wasps' season before January is out and set the seal on the worst season for a decade.

Should Wasps progress, the likes of Harlequins, Biarritz or Ospreys await. With Chris Bell, Christian Wade, John Hart, Tom Rees, Joe Launchbury, James Cannon, Ross Filipo and now Tom Varndell all out it will need a dramatic change of form for Wasps to get through the knock-out rounds.

Also long overdue is news about resolution of Wasps whereabouts next season. One wonders whether it will be Wycombe, west London or west Stratford? News on that aspect, at least, ought to be imminent. However, don't hold your breath! Curry, anyone? La plus ça change...

I wished you hadnt said the likes of Harlequins await, especially if it means I have to go to Middleex to watch the match at the Stoop!! If we do end up at the Stoop, I hope Wasps start the match at the same time as Quins, as last year we were six minutes late starting, by which time we were 14-0 down!

Annoyingly we were after the first 6 minutes the best team on the night with even less choice first team players than now.... I think we need to Win and keep some momentum thru the 6 nations
