Try-scorer
We were unlucky not to score in the opening few minutes, then lost the first score to an unfortunate error as Ojo caught a pass and nobody catches him once he's away.
The referee didn't help our cause, missing a few high tackles and forward passes, but it's up to us to learn how to play referees, and to be honest we didn't know a lot about this French referee so couldn't really study how he applies the laws this week.
The second try was a freak, a lineout move we should have been prepared for but weren't and Steffon Armitage probably couldn't believe his luck that he was unopposed five metres out.
Although we didn't really threaten too much in the 22, our back play was nice and we are gelling behind the scrum, Tane Tu'ipulotu is really starting to show his class and he and Noonie will soon be a very potent force.
Hewat's try was also one we should have defended, and his kicking was also a problem as he is excellent with the boot.
Despite being 29-3 down at half time, there are still positives to be found.
We were obviously much better in the second half, only conceding one try to Alex Corbisiero in the first 20 minutes or so before Micky Young got sin-binned, which had a major effect on the game as we had to re-jig the backline just as Steve Jones was coming on.
Mike Catt's try was just pure bad luck, with us losing the ball on the right, and how often is he going to out-sprint someone to score?
We finally got some luck with Tim Visser's score, which proves we can score tries the top sides, and had we been a little quicker moving up we could have forced another score as they passed in the in-goal area.
And by the time Mapusua scored the seventh, it didn't really matter anymore.
We will study the video of this game, identify what went wrong, take away the positives and move onto Gloucester next week.
Above all though, I've seen enough today to know we can stay up.
There, I've just saved you all the bother of reading Steve Bates' comments on the offy. Heaven help us.
