Dragons v Ospreys Tues 13th Sept
By Steve
September 12 2005
Two teams seem to be making some progress this season with their performances. The Dragons have been doing their's on the pitch with wins against Btah and Glasgow, whilst the Ospreys have done it off the pitch being at the forfront of regional rugby. It's a biggie!
So folks, Ospreys v Dragons. Who's gonna do the business?

The Ospreys have made headway in the quest for Regional rugby. They've dropped Neath and Swansea from their name and gone for a simple and appealing "Ospreys". They've got a brand spanking new stadium to play out of. They've got one of the highest rugby shirt sales for their shirt (higher than Leicester Tigers, or possibly?). And they've pulled the crowds in (so far!).

The Dragons, meanwhile, have been talking on the pitch. Pre-season games saw them beat a Gwent Premier Select XV playing in Ebbw Vale, followed by a win over Penzance and Newlyn down in the South West of England. A tough home encounter against an almost fll strength Bath side saw the Dragons emerge victorious as well. The Dragons first Celtic League game brought about a good solid away win against Glasgow, where the Dragons showed some "dog" (to quote some).

So, could this midweek game be a decider for the rest of the season? can the Dragons breathe fire and burn out the Ospreys' game? Or will the Ospreys swoop to victory? Tuesday will reveal all, and you never know, it could even be a draw!

And don't forget, there's a return match on New Years Day.
