The Saints will play Saracens at Franklin's Gardens in the semi-finals of the 2009/10 LV= Cup.

Who the Saints had as possible opponents changed half-a-dozen times during the course of the match at Vicarage Road as the lead changed hands repeatedly.

Gloucester's five-point haul at the Twickenham Stoop earlier in the day had secured their berth in the knock-outs, and as Saracens kickers Glen Jackson and Derick Hougaard nudged their side in front it looked as though it would be the Cherry and Whites who the Saints would face.

But two tries from former Saint Will Harries helped Newport-Gwent Dragons leave Vicarage Road with a 23-22 win, and send Saracens to Franklin's Gardens for the March 14th semi-final.

Ticket details will be announced for the LV= Cup semi-final as soon as they have been finalised.

Wonder how many half season tickets they actually sold?

Other semi is Cardiff v Gloucester if my shoddy Sunday evening maths are right?

Large has just said the same to me!

The semis are at 12.15 and 4pm - I would guess we would end up with the earlier one due to travelling distance.

There should be a real bu££ about the place with all those half season ticket holders getting their money back.

They have some very good players but they are just so boring to watch.

Let's bury them.Surely the combination of match ref and video ref can't save them again?

As far as I can see it is Glos that are visiting us next and not Sarries.

Either way Home advantage in a semi final, perfect.

Just beating them would be enough for me. They won't really lose anyone, we will have a few out. It won't be easy.

Saints 16
Cardiff 15
Glaws 11
Sarries 10.

1 v 4
2 v 3

Sarries were victims of their own director of rugby's inflexible instructions.
Even when they did win a break down ball they had no idea what to do with it other than persist with the turgid drop goals from far too far out.
But fair play to Dragons, any team coached by Paul Turner will always be innovative, and they deserved to win.

Well looks that way.
Do we have a full team selection or does the sick nations thing get in the way?
Anyone know why it is a Sunday and rids us of euan?

In which case... Hartley was the worse player I have ever seen! as for Foden why on earth pick him and not play him. About time the management checked the young upstart and get a proper play in!

As our game is a Sunday we could allow euan to play.
Hope there is no second string international.(Sm115)

Mind you watching the game the potential opposition has changed about 5 times so far and all three teams we could play have been there.
As I write is Sarries but along way to go.

Chris, Euan won't play any form of rugby on a Sunday, whether it's International or for Saints.

This is a real tease - our oppo in the semi final changes every couple of minutes depending on the score of the Sarries match.

Harries has 2 now and looks really good (obviously that spell on load to Bedford helped a lot).

But Saffers have just gone into the lead following a Chris Wyles try.

Scotland I seem to recall only had one match on the Sunday's and that was this week. All the others are on Saturday. Therefore we will never have Murray unless he doesn't get selected by Scotland.

and the Loved-Up semi-final is on the Sunday so Euan will not be available for selection anyway...

I did say supported Sumo. A green barbour for those in the middle of the country, with good road links, who like the occasional game of rugger or like the shirt, doesn't make them good supporters. When Tiggers come to Kingsholm it's a case of spot the Leicester fan.

I sincerely hope it is a 4pm kick-off.

For those family men amongst us Sunday 14th March is mothering sunday, and with a table already booked for Sunday lunch Mrs Big Bird is not going to best pleased when her loving children cancel it so that they can go to FG instead.

Tense times ahead(Sm102)

excuse the intrusion from the Sarries site, but is the Sunday confirmed? I thought for some reason it was the 13th (ie Saturday), may well be wrong though.
