Normally I am sure the management would not want to change the team much across the European games, if we were fully competitive. But because of issues integrating new players after preseason we have to put this team out in game 8 when it would have been a good squad for game 6, injuries allowing.
Note no Steven Myler or Ace in the 23.

Is the Saints management effectively saying then in week 2 of European Competition, we are already done and out? In reality we all know that will be the case but it is the kind of selection I'd expect in week 5/6 of Europe.

Saints' forwards must get the better of Clermont's pack somehow, because that Clermont backline would shred most team's defences, even without Rougerie & Fofana

La Marseillaise,
Harry at 15 is his preferred position. I seem to remember he made his debut coming on as a replacement at 15 and scored?

If its not a week 5/6 selection then I assume last weekend's selection was week 5/6. It has to be one or the other. Surely, the squad has been together for long enough for the coaches to understand their best team. To be competitive in this difficult pool then best should be a must in all games.

I also do not see this as a weak team. Perhaps you could give your logic Andy.
