Saints appeared to have shot themselves in the foot losing at half time 9-13 after three Drahm penalties were cancelled out by two from Arwell Thomas and a converted try, caused by Saints panic on the ball in their own 22, for George Harder.
Into the second half Arwell Thomas who'd seen yellow in the first for killing the ball, intercepted and raced away under the posts rubbing salt in the wounds by converting his own try to make the score 9-20.
A drahm penalty brought them back to 12-20 but as the minutes ticked away Saints blew chance after chance to score a try. A spurned penalty under the posts seemed to have taken away even the chance of a losing bonus.
That chance was restored by Drahm slotting a penalty from out wide as we entered injury time.
Then deep into time added on, Tucker scored in the corner to level the scores. All Drahm had to do was convert from out wide. Nerevs of steel, ice in his veins, almost borg like (the star trek things not the sweedish tennis star,)call it what you will, Shane Drahm nailed it. The sound of the Garden's going potty has probably blown a speaker on my radio!!!!!
Message to Uncle Keith. Give Shine a blank cheque to keep him at Saints.
A much more detailed report from someone lucky enough to be there will follow!
