Our visitors this week - Esher r.f.c.

We welcome Esher to Brickfields this Saturday loking to continue our impressive record on home soil. Esher currently in 13th. place in the league seem to be playing above their position in the league and with a points difference of -91 would place them about 8th or 9th if that were the criteria but it's not of course. They did lose to us earlier in the season by only two points at home where the majority of their points have come from this seaon although last week away to Hartpury although losing heavily they did score four tries earning a bonous point in the process, the first club this season to do this at Hartpury, well done.

Prior to our relegation recently we played against Esher for two seasons when they were promoted to the Championship and among their claim to fame they hold the world record score when beating poor old Manchester in 2009/10 season 148 -0.

This season 28 tries have come from the forwards and 20 from the backs with Joe Brow and Spenser Southerlane having got 5 a piece out of 49 at home and they have conceded 55, 31 at home and 24 away so perhaps a little more defensive away from home?

They have 7 yellow cards against to our 13 and 1 red cards !

The pitch should be in good shape with maybe a shower tomorrow before the k.o. the last time I looked, not so sure of the temperature, you had better wrap up unless you are in the Bidfest or the S.W.Comms marquee's I guess.

Good luck to the lads to back on track.
