I am engaged with Leeds Rugby Foundation, which is a local charity that delivers projects in the heart of the community, harnessing the power of sport to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals' lives. As Leeds Rugby's charity we have an amazing opportunity to truly change lives through sport.

The foundation delivers a range of projects under 3 themes of Sport, Health and Education. Sport is a fantastic tool that allows the Foundation to work with a wide range of individuals, imparting important lifestyle messages to help them make positive changes to their lives.

Leeds Rugby Foundation (encompassing both Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie), Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Gary Chappelow memorial fund will once again hold the annual Children's Day at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Sunday, 22nd July 2012. Children's Day is a fantastic day out for all the family with a variety of attractions in and around the stadium, whilst on the pitch there will be rugby and football tournaments throughout the day.

Children's Day was a major event in the Leeds Calendar for many years, with hundreds of children attending each year up until 1963, when the last one was held at its original venue in Roundhay Park. In 2008 Children's Day was resurrected by the Gary Chappelow Memorial Fund with the support of the Leeds Rugby Foundation and since that date the event has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the biggest days out of the summer holidays.

In excess of 3,000 individuals attended Children's Day at Heading Carnegie Stadium in 2011 and this year, we will be growing the event and are aiming to attract over 5,000 people. This is a wonderful opportunity to partner a world renowned Sports entity and be part of a fantastic local event that will attract people from all over Yorkshire and beyond.
