Once upon a time, in the green and pleasant land of England there were many fair counties. But the fairest of all was known to be the domain of Leicestershire. And so it came to pass that a great team of rugby heroes gathered together to challenge for the title of "Champions Of All The Northern Lands.
This team of all the heroes fought many bloody battles in many lands against the finest and bravest armies their own and other lands could assemble. Then, one day, there was but one set of warriors left to challenge , the mighty Gaellic Gladiators from that part of The Emerald Isle they call Munster.
The two armies were summoned to the final conflict at a time and place designated by The Errant Rugby Confederation. Their appointed battlefield was in the City Of Former Glories, known in the common tongue as Caerdydd.
