Now how do I post a link to the Exeter Chiefs site!! (Sm128)

S'up to the top for Edward.

Any word from the man himself about the sponsorship?

In fact, has anyone seen him since the 'out of this world' success of the Exeter game?

I'm sure he'll be around for the Welsh game, so we can chase after him then.

But if his training has been any good, then he should be able to get away!

For people less ignorant than me:

If I'm not a UK taxpayer, can I just put that I am in order to get the gift aid contribution? Or is there something wrong with that?

Re: Sponsorship for Edward G's marathon effort?
AP (IP Logged)

Gift Aid effectively transfers the tax you pay on your income to the charity - if you gift aid 80, the charity claims 20 from HMRC.

If you are not a taxpayer, then you haven't got the tax to fund that. HMRC would be entitled to claim the tax from you.

The form asks you to confirm you are a taxpayer. Generally, it's best in life to be honest. Otherwise we'd all be convinced the salary cap was being broken ...

Edward is slipping down the list again! Come on guys - we can surely get him over the 1000 mark!! How about a bit of 'gentle persuasion'? If Edward ditches the Fat Lady (but maybe keeps the singer) we'll sponsor him in the Marathon. If everyone who thinks the Fat Lady should go were to sponsor a small amount, I can see him making his target in double-quick time!

Ours done - it is a really great cause - and I'd need to catch a bus to go that sort of distance! Good on Edward for putting in the effort - rather him than me!

Only 80 to the first 1000

Maybe the "Fat Lady" could dip in her purse to make up the first 1000

All,

Thank you for the support.

Together with Gordon Banks, stadium director, and Jon Hall, finance director, we raised more than 7,000 for the Foundation, which makes the mild aches worthwhile.

I wore a Fez all the way around, and was pleased that twice as many people shouted 'Go Saracens' as those that performed an impersonation of Tommy Cooper.

Two started singing 'Stand Up for the Saracens.

Again, thank you for your enthusiastic support.

Edward
