Wonderful Watford!
By L Clayton February 11 2008

Set off from Worcester on a clear and sunny morning

full of anticipation and hope after the win over Bristol, only to return home a tad disappointed to say the least. Still no biggy is it???? Sarries were 4th in the Guinness Premiership and we were 11th. But still could do with winning one or two games like these!

My thoughts of the Saracens game.

Lineout, won lots of theirs, always good,

Scrum, going backwards from the first, a sign that it’s going to be a long game!

Rolling mauls, again going backwards, how Sarries didn’t score from a couple more I just don’t know.

Flipping incessant ruddy drums… going to be a very, very long game.

Why was Glen Jackson kicking in Hugh Vivian boots? Either that or the ball had been swapped for a sack of spuds. Very dull thud when he struck the ball.

Penalty count way too high again guys!!!

Startling the Sarries fans in the Upper Rous with my dulcet tones!!

Great noise coming up form the Lower Rous from the Warriors support (but it didn’t drown out the drums!!!)

Sam’s tackling was awesome!

And it was good to see how fed up the boys were getting on the coach after the game. I know they will sort it out coz they really want to

!

Wonderful meeting the barmy Warriors fans in the pub before and after the game.

Don’t think I will going back to Watford… Not a nice ground, the Sarries fans were great, loads of banter and chat. But Vicarage Road is a soulless place with 6 and half thousand in it.

Thanks for the tickets and thanks to Cathy for driving!!! And thanks to Thinus, Browner and Matt Powell for having the guts to talk to us after the game.
