Once in Cecil’s Sixways Stadium
By Lindsay Clayton
December 12 2008

To the tune of Once In Royal David's City

Once in Cecil’s Sixways Stadium
Stood the Captain tall and dark
He could call upon his Warriors
To give it all across the park.
He is not so meek and mild
As he stills the Hors so wild.

He came down from Sale via Tick’nam
To lead our boys through ruck and maul
He gives all that he is able
To help the Warriors to a haul,
From the front he leads and slowly
The Warriors line is much less holey.

For his country he was Captain
On a tour that was named Hell
The poisoned chalice, he took freely
And though beaten never fell.
He came home to press un-glad
But fulfill’d dreams, from whence a lad.

Now at last we all can see him
As our leader we are so proud
Resolute in thought and action
In every game he thrills the crowd
Pat and The Warriors are here to stay
Wasps, Sharks, Tigers are their prey
