Jonny Arr Testimonial Game V Gloucester

By Lindsay Clayton
February 13 2018

This weekend's game see our nearest neighbours, Gloucester visiting for a match which is special as it is the testimonial game of Warriors scrum half and WRSC Honorary President, Jonny Arr

In this rugby age it is the exception, not the norm, for players to stay with one club for ten years. Not sure if anything would have drawn Jonny away from his home town team but Warriors fans are grateful that he has stayed long enough to earn his testimonial.

WRSC will present a cheque for £300 to Jonny in the Club House Bar after the game, which was raised at the WRSC event Jonny and Friends. The money raised by Jonny's testimonial will go to two excellent good causes, Warriors Community Foundation and Restart Rugby.

WRSC supporters desk has moved to the Club House Bar which is now open to all.

Hoping that the game will be a sell out for a player who has pretty much seen it all at Sixways, played under more DoR's than most, and seems to be under appreciated by the 'faithful' IMO.

A great match, hopefully with a win too against the 'old foe' would be a fitting outcome for Jonny IMO.
