Hello and welcome to www.CelticWarriors.co.uk.

This site evolved from the successful old Pontypridd RFC site ‘Tales of the Riverbank’, the website was run by Dai (PontyWebmaster@yahoo.co.uk). He made the decision to set up the first website devoted to the Celtic Warriors the first version of the site was accessible via the URL http://www.CelticWarriors.tk/ from which you can still access the site today.

I joined the editorial team in the summer of 2003 as I am a Bridgend supporter both sides of the merger were then represented.

The first and only season of the Warriors was topsy-turvy with huge highs - Wasps H&A, Munster Home but mainly lows - Brewery Field only, L Samuel threats to pull out, Cardiff merger and then the liquidation of the Celtic Warriors.

Halfway through the season the site evolved to become http://www.CelticWarriors.co.uk/ and continued to grow and grow.

Despite the closure of the Warriors the site remains committed to campaigning for a fairer and better future for Welsh rugby than the mess currently dictated by David Moffett.

The sites slogan "A Warriors Spirit Never Dies" lives on in most of us.

The site has a lively messageboard where the debate is often about the best future for Welsh Rugby and reflecting on the current Regional sham.

The site is committed to supporting the Bridgend and Pontypridd semi pro clubs as they continue the production line of young talent in the grass roots.

We are always looking for people who may want to contribute to the site, if you wish to do so or have any comments or queries regarding the site contact me on: WarriorZippy@yahoo.co.uk

Enjoy the site.
