Bridgend Season Review 05/06
By Zippy
May 27 2006
A review of the Bridgend Ravens season over the 2005/2006 season. The Brewery Field club finished in second place in the Principality Welsh Premiership. For details read on.

Bridgend finished a very creditable 2nd in the Welsh Premiership, the key to losing the title was falling short against a very strong Neath side but after losing some key players at the start of the season Bridgend can be proud of this effort.

The other highlight of the season was the return of the Bridgend vs Maesteg fixture, both games were played in front of thousands of fans, the first at the Old Parish on Boxing Day was a fierce encounter with no quarter given, the return game at the Brewery Field was an open game which Bridgend won 37.36 in what I think is the best game ever seen in the Premiership.
