Blues Team Vs Munster

Blues Team Vs Munster
By Andrew Collins February 28 2008
Dai Young has named his twenty two that will face third placed Munster in Saturday’s 5.30pm kick off. The Irish region are on joint points as the Welsh capital, but have a game in hand, so it is vital that Young’s side pick up a win.

Loan fly half, Ryan Jones, makes his first start since joining the region, while Ritchie Rees' inclusion completes a new look half back pairing. Alfie and Jamie Robinson continue on in the centre, despite Robinson's awful performance in the away loss to Leinster a fortnight ago.

Jamie Roberts is released from Wales duty to start on the wing, however Tom James is not, so other loan signing Tal Selley starts. Ben Blair completes the back three.

In the forwards, John Yapp and Gary Powell prop down either side of Rhys Thomas, with Filise and Gareth Williams on the bench. Deiniol Jones has also been released after gaining another Wales cap against Italy last week, he starts with Tito in what is still the Blues finest lock combination.

Robin Sowden-Taylor, who is yet to feature in the Welsh 22, has been released for Blues duty, he's partnered in  the back row by Molitika and Xavier Rush.

On the bench, Filise and Williams are joined by lock Scott Morgan and flanker Ben White, while the backs to feature are Jason Spice, Nick Macleod and Dafydd Hewitt.

Kick off is 5.30pm and the match is being covered live on S4C.
