(Admittedly I wanted to post this story earlier, but didn't have access to a computer until late this afternoon. Anyway, enjoy!)
It's thought the following had been kept out of the public eye... until now;
In 2001, Peter Thomas secretly signed a 4-year deal with pastry suppliers ‘Gregs' Cardiff branch worth £800,000. The deal was to guide the struggling company out of their massive debt. Having brought Ben Evans, Craig Quinnell and Peter Rogers to Cardiff Rugby Club/Blues, Gregs recorded their highest ever sales, with 5-years worth of produce sold within 6 months.
- Desperate time call for desperate measures! Dai Young is going to come out of retirement for Sunday's massive game against Toulouse. He is expected to be named at fly half as Nick Robinson is deemed unfit.
- Following Dwaine Chambers switch from Athletics to Rugby, former Cardiff scrum half Ryan Powell is going to switch in the other direction. It's not yet known who'll be more successful.
- Cardiff's century winger, Rhys Williams, is set to be the new face of Nivea's Anti-Aging cream for men.
- Since his retirement from rugby, Canadian Dan Baugh has found time to take up singing lessons, and could soon feature on London's West End in Andrew Lloyd Webbers ‘Cats'.
- When he signed 10 month deal with the Cardiff Blues, Jonah Lomu turned down a chance to appear in ‘I'm A Celebrity; Get Me Out Of here'.
- Mosese Luvivatasau spent his year in Cardiff very well indeed. As well as playing for the Cardiff Blues, he received 1st Class Honours in English Philosophy from Cardiff University.
- And Finally, Blues Captain Xavier Rush is a regular show girl at Minsky's club in Cardiff.
Happy April Fool's Day all, sorry it was a little late!
