Molitika returned to Cardiff at the start of last season (07-08), having previously had a successful 2 years at the Blues in 04-06. Ironically, he left the Cardiff Blues for a season in Japan with club side, Big Blue.
But in him, Dai Young saw an underrated back row player, and when he announced Molly's return late in the summer of 07, only few seemed to share his belief that Maama still had what it took at this level. But after last season, no one in their right minds would question that now.
Maama was voted Player of the Year by his fellow team mates, and was also given the top award on this site, following his amazing performances in the home and away Heineken Cup matches against Bristol, where he scored the crucial try in both matches, being a huge contributor to the Blues getting to the Quarter Finals.
If he can maintain that level for 08-09, then there's no reason why Cardiff can't claim silverware to celebrate their final season at the Arms Park.
